Hang on a 1" rod as a panel or roll up to desired height to allow light to shine in as a drawn shade.
Fabric shades have been around since the early 19th Century. This curtain gets it's stability from a wood down or rod inserted in the bottom opening, or you can easily be very primitive and use a stick from your backyard. Another option is using a 3/8 tension rod for the bottom opening.
It is believed the word "huck" is derived from the linen toweling that was peddled by the traveling "hucksters"
