About

For most of my life I had visions of my own shop.  After our children were grown, I finally decided it was time for my dream!

Vacationing in the east for many years contributed to my love of the colonial style, along with decorating and restoring our 1850's stone house. Through my love of decorating and rug hooking, Cottage House Primitives was born in 2006. It is true what they say – if you build it – they will come!

Over the past 15 years we have grown literally through the walls into the building next door!

The rug hooking studio has grown from a small cupboard full of wool to half of our original building. We offer beginning classes, and welcome anyone interested in joining us on Wednesdays for open hooking. Come in and share what you are working on and get inspired by a great group of talented hookers.

We look forward to many more years of sharing new treasures with all of you. Our website is a small sampling of what's in store if you visit the shop. Our wonderful handmade goods and our antique selection change daily, so visit often. If you can't come to the shop, we appreciate your visiting our site!

Kind Regards, Carol

How to find us:

Cottage House Primitives is located on Main Street in the heart of historic downtown Lodi, Wisconsin.

Lodi is just five minutes south of the Colsac III Free Ferry – a scenic ride across the Wisconsin River on your way to Devils Lake State Park and Circus World Museum at Baraboo. A great stopping point on the Ice Age Trail, Lodi's Spring Creek winds through town, past the Lodi Prairie Gardens, through historic downtown, Susie The Duck landing, and north through Goeres and Haberman Parks.
